The Varmint Whisperer

Young Silver Belle (better known as Bee) is a well-documented example of a scardy-pone.  Once, when vacationing in a big foreign city with her mothers, the poor little cry-face became separated from her family and hopelessly lost in the subway underground.  You'd think that such a sensitive kid would have keeled over and died from fear during this escapade, but instead the foal's presence inspired a bizarre phenomenon.  A veritable bevy of wild, tunnel-dwelling rats were inexplicably drawn to the gentle child, and Bee (likely to her own astonishment), accepted them.  The creatures distracted, cuddled and protected the filly until she was located and rescued by Sticker Shock, none the worse for her misadventures.

Since then, it's been all critters all the time for Bee.  She seems to have a soothing sway over any animal she meets, although she has a particular connection to beasties typically viewed as loathsome vermin.  It's not uncommon to observe Bee singing and murmuring softly to a swarm of hornets or cockroaches, often leading them away from wrathful ponies and off to safer, less populated areas.  Bee's ability to harmlessly remove and relocate pests has earned her the nickname "The Varmint Whisperer" from Aunt AJ.

Bee's moms are basically used to her critter-related hijinks, and savvy visitors know not to give it a second thought if a (well-groomed, well-fed) rat or two (or many) happens to scamper through the halls of Silver Manor.  Maybe Aunt Rari will get used to it one of these days.  Meanwhile, Fluttershy has her eye on little Bee, eager to make the kid her animal-shepherding disciple.
